so recently, our last couple events have been near winnipeg. This has been so awesome because that means for the last couple nights, we have gotten to sleep in our own beds. How great.
Two nights ago, we got about 10cm of snow and it has been snowing since! Fantastic! HOWEVER, Winnipeg my friends is COLD so so COLD!
The events that we have had lately have been awesome.
Couple nights ago I got to talk to two girls during nail painting. During ministry time, I got them to tell me some of the deeper things going on in their lives. I said: "you probably have some stuff you don't want to talk about, an issue in your lives, that only you guys know about each other, but its okay to tell me." They then started to share about themselves. Both of these girls dads are alcoholics and their parents divorced. One lives her Dad; and her Mom is always with a different guy. The other lives with her Mom who remarried, and she and her new husband broke up too and her dad isn’t in the situation. SO these girls find themselves in hard situations that aren’t their fault. I talked with them for a long time just offering words of encouragement, and prayed with them afterwards.
Last night, we were in Cecilia's home town. We got to meet her family and friends. It was awesome!! So cool. The event there was great as well. I got to pray with a girl that just had such a heavy burden on her heart and I think that she found the night quite encouraging. I also connnected with two girls during nail painting. They loved me ahaha. After they got me to paint their nails, they wanted me to sit with them, to talk to them, they came up and talked to me after, and it was so cute. Recently our merch table got new things and the one came up and asked me how much a wristband was. She really wanted one but didnt have the money. So, I decided to buy her one. She was ECSTATIC!! It was such a good night last night. Cecilia talked and you could tell that the spirit was moving. It just started pouring out during the second half of ministry time. God is good.
On a side note however, I miss home SOOO MUCH!!!
At one event, there was a lady that looked almost identical to my mom. Made me tear up a bit. Its weird, I didnt realize how much I miss my friends and family. Not until I see things that remind me of them. Like going to a families house that hunts. That instantly makes me miss my dad and brothers. Or going to a church service. That makes me just want to play music with Kurt. Or seeing little kids, it is sooo hard to not bawl when i see kids!! I MISS MY NEPHEWS!!!
We only have 12 more events left though and then we are done this tour! Then we have office work to do... 28 DAYS TILL IM HOME THOUGH! :D so exciting!! Im worried however that all I will want to do is sleep. Its so frustrating. No matter how long you sleep during the night, you never get caught up. Sleep just doesn't help anymore... Its past the point of help.
Today, we are going to ONTARIO! :D kenora! Still far away but im excited that we will be in my home province for a few days!
Speaking of which, I need to ask for prayer. We are heading to a reserve called Pikangikum. The rape percent there is 100% for girls. It is also the top place for suicides in the world. It is going to be really hard to go there. There is going to be so many spiritual battles.
Anyways, I better go! We are heading off to KENORA!
