We were encouraged to go "church hopping"when we first got here to scope out different churches. We all went as a team to a small church that our house lady goes to. It was a very small church that was very devoted to making you feel like family. I think everyone in the congregation greeted us. We also were singled out by the pastor. During the sermon. Then asked to stand. Then prayed for.
They sang probably 5 songs. Most hymns however, the did have the classic "As the Deer" ... thats about the most modern song. Their band consisted of a very nice elderly lady on the piano, then three singers.
It was a very nice church but not my style. It sounds pathetic but I had to stop myself from crying because it made me miss my church soo much. I also really miss being on the worship team. :(
I am thankful however that we all got to get together in such a loved community.
After church we all went to hang out with the young adults from one of the local churches. We went to pizza hut then hung out at one of the guy's houses. We watched Lion King and Taken haha :)
I also made an espresso with my new espresso maker! :) It was pleasant indeed!!
Which brings me to the downfall of my night...
I went to back up my pictures so that I could delete them off my camera allowing me to take more pictures, HOWEVER, my external hard drive will not work.
It will not work because the AC 12v connecter has lost one of the prongs that you plug into the wall. The hard drive will not work with any other AC 12v adapter. I tried. UGH I dont know what to do! I can't delete photos without backing them up!!!! :(
